La Foruna de San Carlos in the province of Alajuela is an important place for the Volcano Arenal tourist
There are direct buses from La Fortuna to San Jose.
To reach other parts of the country you have in many cases to go through Ciudad Quesada,or SanRamon. From those two towns you find buses in all directions.
The bus from La Fortuna to Ciudad Quesada departs from the new bus terminal,one hundred meter east of the central park.
